COMPUTERS

This beginner's class included 2 sessions of Microsoft Word, 2 sessions of Microsoft Excel, and 1 session of Microsoft PowerPoint.  Book - $12.00

Help Your Child Use the Internet for Homework -

Instructor - Ginny Thompson    Cost - $25.00

Place - AMS Lab;    Times - February 22 to March 14;     TU;    6:30 to 8:30 PM

Learn how to use the Internet to help your child with specific information for homework.  Bring your child the last night to share information.

Internet for Seniors - Instructor - Jane Thompson     Cost - NONE   

Place - ACHS Lab;    Time - February 15;    TU ;     6:00 to 8:00 PM

This class is designed to provide senior citizens with an opportunity to use the Internet and learn how to access sites for family research, travel plans, local weather, sports, and news.'

Windows '95 - Instructor - Bret Foster     Cost - $25.00

No experience necessary.  Basic instruction that shows you how and why to do the most common tasks, provides tips, and points you to fun and exciting features.

Beginners class on the basics of word processing and basic data base information.

Beginning Computers for Seniors -

No experience?  Learn the basics of working with computers:  turn it on, use of the mouse, understanding the keyboard, and commonly used terms.

Beginner's Guitar -

If you have always wanted to play the guitar, this is your chance.  Students provide their own guitar.

Overview of Kavanaugh School -

Learn a little about the Kavanaugh School, while you enjoy the hospitality of the Kavanaugh House Bed & Breakfast.

Basic Spanish -

Parent to Parent Workshop -

In this training program parents will gain valuable information and skills regarding issues such as the prevention of drugs and alcohol, curbing teen violence, and developing responsible adults.

55 Alive - Mature Driving -

This program is designed for people 50 yrs. and older to update knowledge of traffic rules and driving.  Ask about insurance benefit.  Checks to AARP.

Walk on the Wild (cat) Side -

Take a "Spring" walk down Wildcat Road with Dr. Bryant, biology, wildflowers, trees, and weeds.  Lunch provided.

Kentucky Commonwealth Virtual Library -

Beginning Sewing -

In this class we will make a simple elastic waist skirt.  Learn the basics of sewing machine seams, seam finishes, and hemming.  List of supplies will be given at registration.

Contemporary Stoneware Pottery -

Learn beginning or advanced pottery- making with only one other student in the class.  You must pay in advance.

Interfacing Appliqué -

Use iron - on interfacing as a backing to make appliqués on a sweatshirt or T- shirt.

Silk Ribbon Embroidery -

Beginning class in ribbon embroidery.  Use some of the same principles of regular embroidery but is faster and prettier.  Use on T - shirt, blouses, and sweaters that you bring to class.

Child Craft Workshop -

Making a Pillow (Quilted)

No experience is necessary to make this pierced, quilted pillow top.   You will learn basic hand piercing, quilted and finishing of the pillow.   Supplies given upon registration.

Steppin' Up -

Sessions)

Class includes warm - up and Step - Aerobics, strength endurance with hand held weights , leg exercise, and cool down.  Bring an exercise step, mat or towel and   1 1 - 5 pound hand weight.  Instructor is certified.

Tae Bo Aerobics -

Warm-up, jabs, punches, and kick-boxing.  Cool down and floor exercises.

Senior Citizen Exercise Group -

A trained leader will help you keep yourself healthy in body and mind in this fun group designed for Senior Citizen's.  Wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

Understanding Cholesterol and Fat -
