W. H. McBrayer lived in this house at 406 South Main until August 25,1883.   He was the proprietor of Cedar Brook Distillery--brand name Old McBrayer.

In 1883, W. B. Saffell bought this house from W. H. McBrayer.  W. B. Saffell was the proprietor of Old Saffell Distillery.  He was an officer of the Lawrenceburg National Bank.

On February 6, 1901,   C. E. Bond bought the house.  He was also an officer of the Lawrenceburg National Bank.

On February 14, 1901, T. B. Ripy, Sr. bought this house.  He was the proprietor of the Old Ripy Distillery of Tyrone.

On May 5,1901,  C. E. Bond rebought the house.  On March 26, 1902, C. E. Bond added 141 ft. of frontage to the north side of the lot.

On October 9, 1914,  T. B. Ripy, Jr. bought the house from C. E. Bond.

On October 28, 1949, J. W. & Mable Burge bought the house from Haley P. Ripy for $10,000.
